Packers WR Christian Watson (knee) expects to be ready to practice when first eligible leading up to Week 6. He's currently on the PUP list, working back from his January ACL tear.
What They're Saying
Watson: “I feel like if it was the NFC Championship Game tomorrow, I would be able to go out there and feel confident, for sure. But I mean, at the end of the day, I gotta be as smart as I can with it and not let it be a long-term thing. Nine months is long enough, so I wanna get the nine months out the way and come back and be 100% Christian Watson and go out there and not have to worry about it anymore.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Watson and WR Jayden Reed (broken collarbone) might be in a tight race to see who makes it back to the field first.
We'd expect Watson to need at least a couple of weeks of practice to ramp up, so Week 8 is probably the soonest we'd see him. He can be left on most waiver wires for now, but he might be worth a grab-and-stash when we get into October.
Watson will be returning to a deep WR corps and might not be truly back to 100% at any time this season. But, when right, he's a big-play threat in a passing game that's been excellent without him through two games.
