The Chiefs have downgraded WR Xavier Worthy to out for Sunday night's game against the Giants, and he is not traveling with the team, according to multiple reports. Kansas City initially listed Worthy as questionable after a limited practice participation all week. But the team has clearly deemed the wideout not yet ready to play.
What They're Saying
HC Andy Reid after Friday's practice: "We'll see how it goes. I know questions will be about Xavier and so on. I've just got to see. I mean, he practiced today and did a good job. Jalen Royals practiced today. Both of them ran around pretty good. We'll just see how it goes."

Pair that quote with Worthy's Saturday morning downgrade, and it appears his shoulder didn't respond to the practice week the way they'd like.
Royals remains questionable for the game after putting in full practices Thursday and Friday. He seems on track to make his NFL debut after missing the first two weeks with a knee injury.
Of course, it'll be tough to know what kind of role the fourth-round rookie will play his first time out, especially coming off a multi-game injury.
Marquise "Hollywood" Brown figures to once again lead the WR corps. Tyquan Thornton matched Brown's route share the last time out, and JuJu Smith-Schuster trailed the pair by just one route.
Brown is the only Chiefs WR who has caught more than two passes in each game so far.
Other Winners & Losers
Another absence for the dynamic young wideout obviously limits what Patrick Mahomes has to work with. He sits eighth in our QB rankings for Week 3 but has needed out-of-character rushing production to deliver QB1 finishes the first two weeks.
