Jaguars TE Brenton Strange led the team in receptions (6) and receiving yards (61) in Sunday's ugly victory over the Texans. His seven targets trailed only WR Parker Washington in a game that saw Dyami Brown leave early and Travis Hunter play another large defensive role.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Strange managed just 4 and 3 receptions in the first two games, including a mere 3-17 receiving line in a Week 2 game that found Trevor Lawrence attempting 42 passes.
Strange ranked just fourth among Jaguars in Week 1 pass routes but has finished second and third the past two games, according to Pro Football Focus. He trailed No. 2 (WR Parker Washington) by just one route vs. Houston and played the second-most total pass snaps among non-QB skill-position players Sunday.
Jacksonville lost Dyami Brown to injury against the Texans, and rookie Travis Hunter has played more defensive snaps the past two weeks, while also making less of an offensive impact.
That plus a poor three-game start from WR Brian Thomas Jr. leaves room for Strange to potentially become a solid weekly PPR factor.
He's not a top-12 play at the position at this point but could be a decent answer if you're struggling at the position.
Jacksonville gets potentially challenging defenses over the next four weeks, ahead of a Week 8 bye.
