Texans WR Christian Kirk drew the second-most targets in his Week 3 debut for the team. Those eight looks trailed only WR Nico Collins. Kirk managed just 3 receptions for 25 yards, though, in an ugly loss to the Jaguars. The veteran missed the first two games with a hamstring injury. He opened this week with a pair of limited practices but graduated to full participation Friday and carried no injury designation into the game.

The good news for Kirk is that Houston basically has nothing going behind Nico Collins in the passing game, and the run game has also plodded through the first three weeks.
That helped Kirk's immediate target count and should keep him plenty involved for at least the near future.
The bad news: C.J. Stroud also hasn't played well so far. He has yet to throw for more than 207 yards in a game and has tossed two total TDs vs. three INTs.
That'll make it tough to like Kirk for a Week 4 home date with the Titans. After that comes a visit to Baltimore where we're also not likely to recommend playing him. Then Houston should be happy to find a bye in Week 6.
