Patriots TE Hunter Henry scored both of the Patriots’ TDs in a 21-14 loss to the Steelers. The TE caught eight passes for 90 yards along with a pair of TDs. Henry’s 10 targets doubled DeMario Douglas’ five, the next highest on the team.

There was fear Henry was losing time to No. 2 TE Austin Hooper, but that didn’t appear to be the case in this one.
Henry was on the field for 60 of the team’s 74 offensive snaps, running 35 routes. Hooper had only 48 snaps and 21 routes in the game.
The Steelers struggled with covering Henry, potentially due to injuries at Safety and LB. He was able to box out and make physical catches.
Despite the success, don’t expect this to be a trend. Henry only had double-digit targets in one game last season, an Overtime loss to the Seahawks in Week 2.
He remains a TD dependent TE2 option who can certainly spike with scoring opportunities.
Next week, Henry does have a positive match-up against the Panthers. It could be another spot to start him.
