There was some optimism ahead of Tennessee's Week 4 game in Houston as the Titans felt like they had a good shot at securing their first win against the 0-3 Texans. But another anemic performance by Tennessee's 31st-ranked offense resulted in a 26-0 defeat to drop the Titans to 0-4.
Tennessee mustered only 175 yards of offense and failed to run a single play in the red zone despite trailing the game by only six points in the fourth quarter.

QB Cam Ward had the worst showing of his young career. Ward completed just 10 of his 26 attempts for a season-low 108 yards and an INT. He accumulated 22 rushing yards on 2 carries, but was never seriously able to threaten a strong Texans' defense.
Because of Ward's ineffectiveness, little production was available for Tennessee's pass-catchers.
Despite that, rookie Elic Ayomanor continued to impress. He once again led the team in targets (7) and receiving yards (44) on a pair of receptions.
Calvin Ridley's Believe It Or Not disappearing act continued, as he was held to 2 receptions and 30 yards by Derek Stingley and a stout Houston defense.
RB Tony Pollard led the team with 3 grabs, but accrued only 12 yards through the air. Pollard was effective as a runner, churning out 64 rushing yards on 14 totes (4.6 yards per carry). Pollard is still a quality RB2 because of his high snap rate, but Tyjae Spears is eligible to come off of IR as early as Week 5.
Ward's struggles will continue to hamper Tennessee's pass-catchers. Ayomanor makes sense as a low-upside flex play in deeper dynasty formats. If you're still trotting out Ridley hoping he'll break his now month-long slump, it's time to look for other options.
The Titans will try to regroup for a Week 5 trip to Arizona to face the Cardinals.
