One week after being benched in the fourth quarter of Atlanta's 30-0 Week 3 loss in Carolina, Falcons' QB Michael Penix completed 20-of-26 passes for 313 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 INT in the team's 34-27 victory over the Washington Commanders.
Penix's 76.9% completion rate and 313 passing yards set new career-best marks for Penix.

A trip home seemed to be the cure the Falcons needed after getting shut out in Carolina last week. The Falcons racked up 435 yards of offense and scored on 4-of-6 red-zone drives.
RB Bijan Robinson rushed 17 times for 75 yards and a TD and caught 4 balls for 106 yards. Robinson ranks second among all RB with 270 receiving yards and is on pace 2,482 scrimmage yards.
An even more welcomed result of Penix's strong showing was WR Drake London, who caught 8-of-10 targets for 110 yards and a TD. London was in on 85% of Atlanta's 65 snaps and was the only Atlanta WR to catch multiple passes and top 20 receiving yards. Alpha stuff.
TE Kyle Pitts also continued his strong start to the season, catching 5 passes for 70 yards and his first TD since Week 17 of the 2024 season.
Unfortunately, the Falcons won't be able to carry over their strong momentum in to Week 5 as the team is on a bye. Their next game is on October 13 versus the undefeated Buffalo Bills.
