Chargers RB Omarion Hampton busted off 128 yards and 1 score in Sunday’s loss to the Giants. The yardage marked an early career high in his first game without Najee Harris.
What They're Saying
Here's HC Jim Harbaugh reacting to Hampton's 12-carry effort against the Giants.
"In hindsight, lose a game, you always think what you could've done different."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Hampton needed only 12 attempts to crack the century mark. He added 5 catches on 5 targets while playing a huge 56 of 63 offensive snaps. Backups Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal mixed in for five and two snaps, respectively.
Hampton was simply unstoppable. He ripped off three runs of 15+ yards while tallying 7.08 yards after contact per attempt, per Pro Football Focus. Hampton’s long run of 54 showcased his ability to hit the hole with sustained burst and speed. Credit Tre Harris for an excellent lead block on that play, too.
The runway remains clear for Hampton to perform as an RB1 moving forward. He should be treated as such for a Week 5 home game vs. Washington.
