It was no surprise to see Packers WR Romeo Doubs lead the team in catches Sunday night against the Cowboys. It was a little surprising to see him rudely gobble up all the TDs. Doubs caught six of his eight targets for 58 yards and all three Green Bay passing TDs. Now let's figure out what we do with this going forward.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
First of all, Doubs and others benefited rom a boost in play and passing volume in the OT game. Jordan Love attempted 22, 31, and 25 passes the first three games. That jumped to 43 at Dallas.
So Doubs' numbers accounted for these team shares:
- 22.2% of targeted passes
- 19.4% of receptions
- 17.2% of yards
- (100% of TDs)
Doubs garnered three of Love's end-zone targets for the game. (Golden got the other.) That gives him four through four games.
It's pretty obvious from the elevated team volume, just-OK market shares, and extreme TD luck that we can't expect more similar outings for Doubs.
He still should get picked up in just about any league where available as Green Bay's best target bet going forward. But if you already have him and are looking to sell, brace yourself for a skeptical market. A Week 5 bye also makes this a tough time to make such a move.
But Week 6 holds a home date with the Bengals, a matchup that looks positive for everyone and that should find Green Bay leaning back toward the run more.
Consider looking into sell opportunities ahead of that one.
