Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is believed to have suffered a dislocated knee in Monday night's game vs. the Jets, according to multiple reports. He was transported from the stadium to the hospital to confirm that diagnosis and start getting treatment. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport notes that this injury "often comes with multiple ligament tears." Hill's 2025 season is over, and it's fair to wonder about his football career. He turns 32 in March.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
This is a colossal loss for Miami's offense. Through three games, Hill had accounted for:
- 23.7% of Dolphins targets
- 22.4% of receptions
- 34.4% of receiving yards
Jaylen Waddle now stands as Miami's clear No. 1 WR. He'll draw tougher defensive coverage, but a boost in target share should make this a net positive. When Hill missed Week 15 back in 2023, Waddle went for an 8-142-1 line on 9 targets. Consider him a WR2 with upside going forward.
WRs Malik Washington and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine will pick up extra snaps with Hill out. Washington is the higher priority add to fantasy rosters. He's a short-range receiver with plus after-catch ability who can at least attempt to approximate some of the stuff Hill did for this offense.
TE Darren Waller is also worth adding in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams. He looked surprisingly spry in his 2025 debut vs. the Jets, catching three of four targets for 27 yards and two TDs. He'll find more target opportunities available with Hill out.
QB Tua Tagovailoa's fledgling fantasy value takes a big hit sans Hill. Tagovailoa is no better than a low-end QB2 going forward.
