The Jets will place RB Braelon Allen (knee) on IR today, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. Allen's knee injury is still being evaluated, per Cimini, and surgery remains on the table. "Too early to say if it's season-ending, though this appears to be more than just a 4-week return," Cimini adds.
Update: Allen is expected to miss 8-12 weeks, HC Aaron Glenn said Friday. That puts Allen out through at least Week 12. He can be dropped in all redraft leagues.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Allen can be dropped in most fantasy leagues.
His absence should mean a boost in early-down snaps for RB Breece Hall. We're also expecting RB Isaiah Davis to play more on early downs and continue to handle obvious passing situations.
Davis will still probably fall short of standalone fantasy value. But he's worth stashing on fantasy benches as the clear-cut handcuff to Hall until Allen returns.
