Jaguars Edge Travon Walker had surgery this week for a wrist injury that knocked him out of Sunday's win over the 49ers. But HC Liam Coen calls Walker day-to-day and says the player will "do everything in his power" to play Monday night against the Chiefs.
Wow. I had already dumped Walker from the Week 5 DL rankings for this injury ... and I'm still not going to put him back in.
We'll see what we learn by the weekend, but this sounds like a situation that will find Walker listed as questionable (if not worse). Waiting until Monday night for a questionable player would obviously leave you with very limited replacement options.
On top of that, we'll have to see whether the Jags give details on exactly how much an active Walker would be likely to play.
Ultimately, this looks like a situation to avoid as much as possible in your IDP lineups, especially against Patrick Mahomes. He has taken just 7 sacks through four games this season and 8 sacks over his past seven regular-season appearances (dating back to last year).
