Rams RB Blake Corum hit the field on the team's second series in Thursday night's game vs. the 49ers. He took his first carry for a nice 13-yard gain up the middle. On the next play, Corum was unable to secure a pitch from QB Matt Stafford, resulting in a lost fumble. He played just four more snaps the rest of the night, one of which ended with an ugly drop.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Corum's role had been growing before this game, with a 28% snap share and 22 carries over the previous three weeks. We'll see if the poor showing in this one impact his usage going forward.
It's worth noting that RB Kyren Williams lost an even more crucial fumble vs. the 49ers, coughing it up just before he was about to cross the goal line to give the Rams a lead late in the fourth quarter. But he proceeded to play every snap the rest of the game.
Corum should stay stashed on fantasy benches as the Williams handcuff. But he won't be a reliable Week 6 fantasy play.
