NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Raiders TE Brock Bowers is "trending toward not playing Sunday against the Colts."
What They're Saying
Rapoport: "While coach Pete Carroll expressed confidence in Bowers being out on the field, his knee didn't respond."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Bowers missed practice Thursday and Friday but still turned up questionable on the final injury report, and it had been reported that the team expected him to play. You should certainly expect to not have the star TE available for your Week 5 fantasy lineups, though.
The Raiders have also downgraded TE Michael Mayer from questionable to out for his concussion.
The team activated TE Albert Okwuegbunam from the practice squad, but Ian Thomas figures to lead the position against Indy. Thomas has yet to see a target this season but has appeared in every game.
The absence of any proven pass-catching TE would obviously help the target upside for WRs Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker.
Rookie WR Dont'e Thornton should be more in the target mix as well. He has already played 59% of the snaps or more in every game but topped out at four targets and 2 receptions.
No one beyond Meyers and Tucker make for attractive fantasy options unless you play in a particularly deep format.
