Raiders rookie WR Jack Bech played easily his largest role to date in Sunday's loss to the Colts. Bech wound up third among Vegas WRs in total snaps (four ahead of Dont'e Thornton) but trailed Thornton 23-19 in routes. Bech drew five targets, posting 3 receptions for 27 yards.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Bech split time with Thornton throughout the game. His first target came in the first quarter, so his playing-time increase didn't simply come via an entire fourth quarter of garbage time.
Bech did likely benefit from the Raiders missing their top two TEs. Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer both went inactive for the game.
But the rookie's 36 snaps were notable after he totaled just 30 across the season's first four games.
Bech remains a long way from 2025 relevance, but we'll see about his developing role. A sustained increase in playing time would at least start his build toward potential fantasy viability in 2026.
Other Winners & Losers
Thornton, meanwhile, played a season-low 47% of the snaps. That marked a big dip after he played no less than 59% across the first four games.
We'll have to see what that means. The fourth-round rookie hasn't been fantasy-relevant anyway. Thornton has yet to exceed four targets or 2 receptions in a game this season.
