Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka and Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba posted incredible stat lines in a shootout. Egbuka went 7-163-1, catching every target while JSN posted 8-132-1. The former Ohio State teammates stepped up as the top targets for each of their teams, helping keep pace.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Smith-Njigba now has four top-12 PPR performances in his five games this season. Pending Monday Night Football, he sits at PPR WR3 overall for Week 5.
He tied Cooper Kupp for most WR snaps at 54, but the connection with Sam Darnold remains strong. JSN also continues building strong separation on a variety of different routes all over the field. Without double coverage, he is extremely difficult to stop.
With Mike Evans still sidelined with an injury, Egbuka took the reins as the top WR. He played 85% of snaps while Chris Godwin was on the field for 77% of the Buccaneers offensive snaps.
Pending Monday Night Football, Egbuka currently sits at PPR WR1 overall for the week. The rookie has been excellent, especially out of the slot as an easy pitch and catch target for QB Baker Mayfield.
Things might get a bit muddier for Egbuka when Evans comes back, but Egbuka has proven that he deserves to stay on the field.
This finish gives Egbuka three top-12 PPR finishes in his five games.
Both are must starts moving forward.
Dynasty Impact
Both JSN and Egbuka are into the top-12 of dynasty WR ADP. It may be a hefty price to pay, but the early season returns for the young WRs prove this may be sustainable long term.
