Jaguars WR Travis Hunter snagged 3 of 3 targets for 64 yards in Monday’s win over Kansas City. He played a season-high 69% of the offensive snaps while mixing in for 39% of the defensive snaps.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Hunter’s 64 yards marked an early career high. He gained 44 on one play, a downfield shot where Hunter elevated to make a contested grab in traffic.
“We just work hard on that play in practice,” he said afterward via The Sporting News. “I did that route probably like 10, 13 extra times after practice just to get the timing right."
The rookie went on to praise Trevor Lawrence, who completed 18 of 25 passes for 221 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. Lawrence added 54 rushing yards and 2 TDs on a scramble-heavy day.
“Trevor’s just been a dog. No matter the adversity, he just kept going next play, next-play mindset and brought the offense with him.”
Ultimately, Hunter’s offensive role remains unideal for fantasy. But Monday night was at least another step in the right direction for the second overall pick. Keep him rostered in all formats ahead of a Week 6 matchup vs. Seattle’s banged-up secondary.
Other Winners
Brian Thomas Jr. posted an encouraging stat line: 4 catches and 80 yards on team-high 24% target share. His highlight came on a well-thrown deep ball from Lawrence, one where Thomas still had to secure the downfield pass and absorb a hard hit along the sideline.
The second-year WR remains without a TD in 2025. Still, he's at least delivered 4+ catches in three of his past four outings. He'll remain in fantasy-starter range against Seattle.
