ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles has already said RB Bucky Irving and WR Chris Godwin are "not in play" for a Monday night clash with the Lions in Week 7. the team does, however, hope to get WR Mike Evans back at practice this week, according to other reports.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Other versions of the Irving and Godwin absences as a little less certain for Week 7, but it seems pretty clear we should expect to have neither available for our fantasy lineups.
Evans has been out since Week 3 with a hamstring injury. So we'll have to see how his body responds to practice this week. The Monday night timing could complicate his status, so make sure you hit the second half of the week with another option or two available.
Tampa Bay's also awaiting word on WR Emeka Egbuka's return timeline following his Week 6 hamstring injury.
Other Winners & Losers
QB Baker Mayfield can only lose so many guys before the fantasy production dries up. (Right?)
If you've been leaning on Mayfield to this point, you might want to at least secure some QB insurance on waivers for Week 7.
Tez Johnson, Kameron Johnson, and Sterling Shepard wound up as Tampa Bay's top three wideouts for Sunday's win over the 49ers, after Egbuka's departure.
