Cowboys WR George Pickens put on a show in Sunday’s close loss to the Panthers. The former Steeler tallied 9 catches, 168 yards, and 1 score on a season-high 35% target share. The yardage marked a high among all Week 6 WRs.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Pickens accounted for 64.3% of Dak Prescott’s yardage in the third game without WR CeeDee Lamb. He led Week 6 WRs in receiving EPA and finished seventh in EPA per target.
The highlights were downright impressive for Pickens. He scored on a quick slant that found him outrunning the Carolina defense for a 34-yard score. Pickens also hurdled a defender along the sideline to pick up additional yards after the catch.
We’ll see if Lamb returns for a Week 7 date with Washington. Regardless, Pickens’ current form will leave him as a must-start fantasy asset.
One other reason why: Dak Prescott’s continued strong play. Through six games, Dak ranks second in passing yards and second in passing TDs. He's currently sporting a 71.6% completion rate and a 104.6 QB rating.
Dynasty Impact
Pickens has now hit 100 yards in two of his past three outings. Overall, it's been an encouraging start to the year for Pickens, who's slated for free agency in 2026.
At this pace, Dallas will likely to try to re-sign him as the long-term complement to CeeDee Lamb. Just keep in mind that Pickens isn't a lock to return to Dallas next season.
