The Ravens get a (likely) welcomed bye in Week 7. After that, they expect to get LB Roquan Smith back. Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports that HC John Harbaugh said he expects Smith to play in Week 8. The LB missed the past two games after leaving the Week 4 loss at Kansas City early with his hamstring injury.
Other Winners & Losers
Smith's return should send LB Trenton Simpson back to a reserve role. It'll likely also mean a playing time dip for rookie LB Teddye Buchanan, who played every snap over the past two weeks.
Buchanan has a shot to remain IDP-viable, though. He played 94% and 82% of snaps the last two weeks that Baltimore had a healthy Smith on hand.
We'll see what comes out about the Week 8 plan but will probably need to see how that game against the Bears plays out before knowing.
