NFL Network's Ian Rapoport calls Bengals Edge Trey Hendrickson "a bit of a long shot" for Thursday night's game against the Steelers. Hendrickson's officially questionable after leaving Sunday's game early with a hip injury and missing all three practices of the short week.
What They're Saying
Rapoport: "Despite the fact that he is really pushing to play, he's considered a bit of a long shot. I'm not saying he's got no chance, but it's not a great chance."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Even if Hendrickson turns up active for the game, it sounds like he'd be a risky IDP option. I've knocked him way down the Week 7 DL rankings, and you should probably plan to start someone else either way.
In most cases, that replacement should come from a team other than the Bengals.
Edge Joseph Ossai saw a slight boost in playing time vs. Green Bay, the game Hendrickson left early. Edge Myles Murphy saw a much larger boost vs. his Week 5 involvement. But his fluctuating snap shares and continued sluggish production reveal a weak fantasy play.
I'd dig more into the effect on the Bengals' team D, but if you're considering them in the first place, then you probably have a substance-abuse problem that at least merits counseling.
