The Commanders on Wednesday placed WR Noah Brown on IR. That followed Brown missing Monday night's loss to the Bears, his fourth straight game on the sideline. The IR placement means he'll miss at least another four and won't be eligible to return until Week 11.
What They're Saying
HC Dan Quinn, referring to Brown and Terry McLaurin ahead of Monday night's game: "Both of them made great progress this week, but they're just not there yet."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Welp, Brown must've regressed in a hurry.
The timing of his IR move signals at least one of these two things:
- Washington determined that it needed the roster spot more than it needed the possibility of returning Brown to the lineup anytime before Week 11.
- At least one between the groin and knee injury he's been dealing with remains worse than the team thought.
We'll see whether Washington gets Terry McLaurin back this week. If he remains out, then Chris Moore should remain in the starting lineup. Luke McCaffrey and Jaylin Lane have also contributed amid those WR issues.
None of those three would make for a "safe" Week 7 fantasy play. But the matchup with Dallas means upside for everyone.
The whole situation also boosts the target upside for Deebo Samuel -- who's also playing through a heel injury -- and TE Zach Ertz.
