Colts QB Daniel Jones threw for 288 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win over the Chargers. He went 23-of-34 passing, a 67.6% completion rate that actually matched Jones' lowest of the season.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Jones entered this season completing 64.1% of his career passes. He has completed 71% of his throws this season. The fact that he has no game lower than 67.6% so far shows just how good a year he's having so far.
Sunday also marked Jones' third straight game with 2 TD passes. And the Colts racked up 38 points, adding to an offense that entered the week leading the league in scoring.
Jones has lagged in his rushing production, though. His five carries for 7 yards were a little deceptive against the Chargers. He kneeled down three times to end the game, for a loss of a yard each time.
That means his first two carries accounted for 10 yards. But even if we give him that, Jones would have 10 yards or less in four of seven outings this season. And that marks three games among the past four where he logged two real carries or fewer.
Indy clearly isn't incorporating purposeful Jones rushes into the game plan, which limits the impact of his rushing ability on his fantasy upside. According to Pro Football Focus, Jones entered the week tied for just 16th in scrambles, despite playing more games than eight of the QBs ahead of him.
All that said, Indy gets upside matchups with the Titans and Steelers the next two weeks.
