He has great body control to catch off-target passes, adjusting easily to poorly thrown balls. 2025 Fantasy Football Impact

Lambert-Smith has been a standout early in training camp by all accounts. He rolled that momentum into an impressive showing in the preseason opener -- albeit against Detroit's second- and third-string CBs.

The fifth-round rookie spent five years in college but led Penn State in receiving yards in 2023 and Auburn in 2024. Then he aced the predraft process with an excellent Shrine Bowl week and a 4.37-second 40-time.

Lambert-Smith remains behind WRs Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, and Tre Harris on the depth chart. But Johnston and Harris aren't exactly locked into starting jobs. We'll see if Lambert-Smith can continue to push for a role over the next month.

We're not ready to call him a target even in deep best-ball leagues yet. But Lambert-Smith should be rostered in most dynasty leagues.
