After a promising visit, it seemed like only a matter of time before Allen returned to the franchise that drafted him back in 2013. Allen spent the 2024 season with the Bears, averaging 8.1 targets per game. His arrival significantly dampens the fantasy appeal of rookie WRs Tre Harris and KeAndre Lambert-Smith, as well as third-year WR Quentin Johnston.

WR Ladd McConkey, meanwhile, might fall down a few spots in ADP, though it could present a potential value. Although he operated from the slot nearly 65% of the time as a rookie, make no mistake: McConkey can play – and win – on the outside. When lined up on the perimeter last year, McConkey ranked fifth in yards per route (2.9) and 12th in targets per route run (30%). Allen will certainly earn targets at a higher rate than the rookies in this offense, but McConkey should remain the focal point of the Chargers’ passing attack.

As for Allen himself, he’ll undoubtedly be one of the biggest risers in all of fantasy football. Not only is he finally on a roster, but he lands in a good offense with a good QB in Justin Herbert. At 33 years old, it's fair to question just how much Allen has left. But he'll draw plenty of targets from a familiar face in Herbert, giving him potential FLEX appeal in PPR formats.
