Steelers Set To Hire Mike McCarthy

        6:53pm UTC 1/24/26

According to multiple reports, the Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to hire former Dallas Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy as their next head coach. McCarthy compiled a 185-123-2 record (including playoffs) in 18 seasons at the helm, first in Green Bay from 2006-2018 and in Dallas from 2020-2024. McCarthy sat out last season after parting ways with the Cowboys, where he led Dallas to a 50-38 record, including 1-3 in the postseason. McCarthy becomes just the fourth HC for the Steelers since 1969, following Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher, and Mike Tomlin. QB Aaron Rodgers expressed an interest in reuniting with McCarthy, and could give Pittsburgh one more year of average QB play as a band-aid option in the wide-open AFC North.

Mike Tomlin Out as Steelers’ Head Coach

        7:22pm UTC 1/13/26

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin informed the team that he is stepping down as the head coach. The Steelers now will be looking for only their fourth head coach since 1969. Mike Tomlin has had a historic run as the Pittsburgh Steelers head coach. He never had a losing season in 19 years as the Steelers' head coach. With one Super Bowl win and one loss, he made his mark on the franchise.

Aaron Rodgers Playing Through Three Fractures In Wrist

        1:54pm UTC 11/30/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers has "at least" three fractures in his left wrist, "one of which is a more consequential break that can only happen with significant force," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rodgers is set to play vs. the Bills today, but it remains to be seen how the left wrist injury will impact his play. Try to avoid Rodgers in all fantasy formats this week.

Aaron Rodgers Will Start Week 13

        8:16pm UTC 11/28/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) is off the final injury report for this weekend’s game vs. the Bills. He was a full participant in Thursday and Friday’s practices. “All systems go,” HC Mike Tomlin said Friday. Rodgers’ passing shouldn’t be impacted by the left wrist injury, but he’s just a low-end QB2 against Buffalo’s eighth-ranked QB defense.

        Aaron Rodgers A Full-Go Thursday

        2:14am UTC 11/28/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. It was his first full practice since hurting his left wrist in Week 11. Rodgers is seemingly on track to return for Sunday's game vs. the Bills. He'll be just a low-end QB2 in fantasy lineups for that one.

        Aaron Rodgers Held Out Wednesday

        2:20am UTC 11/27/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Mike Tomlin said earlier this week that he was optimistic about Rodgers' chances of making it back for this weekend's game vs. the Bills, but we'll monitor his status over the next few days.

Aaron Rodgers Won't Play Week 12

        4:08pm UTC 11/23/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) won't play vs. the Bears today, HC Mike Tomlin said. Rodgers was pushing to play but didn't get the green light from the team. We're expecting him back for Week 13. QB Mason Rudolph gets the start today. He's just a low-end QB2 in fantasy lineups, but we're not considering him a significant downgrade from Rodgers. We could see Pittsburgh run it a bit more today with Rodgers sidelined.

Aaron Rodgers Still Uncertain For Week 12

        1:01pm UTC 11/23/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers' status for today's game vs. the Bears remains up in the air. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Rodgers is "pushing to play" but that the team has been "more cautious and guarded." This is shaping up as a game-time decision. We'll get Pittsburgh's inactives 11:30 am ET. Neither Rodgers nor backup QB Mason Rudolph are in play in 1-QB fantasy leagues -- and the QB call won't have a big impact on our projections for Pittsburgh's skill-position players.

Aaron Rodgers Questionable For Week 12

        9:26pm UTC 11/21/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Bears. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday with a brace on that fractured left wrist. "We’ll see where the weekend leads us,” HC Mike Tomlin said Friday. We’re sure to get plenty of updates on Rodgers between now and kickoff on Sunday. QB Mason Rudolph will start if Rodgers can’t.

Aaron Rodgers Gets In Limited Practice Thursday

        10:45pm UTC 11/20/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He had a brace on that left wrist and took snaps exclusively from shotgun, according to reporters who watched the portion of practice open to the media. We'll see how that wrist responds and what Rodgers does in Friday's practice, but he seems to have a legitimate chance to play vs. the Bears this weekend.

        No Surgery For Aaron Rodgers

        6:02pm UTC 11/18/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers will not need surgery on his broken left wrist, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. HC Mike Tomlin, meanwhile, said that Rodgers will not practice on Wednesday and will likely test that wrist on Friday. It sounds like we won't get a good update on Rodgers until then, but he seemingly has a real chance to play against the Bears this weekend.

Aaron Rodgers "50/50" For Week 12

        2:23pm UTC 11/17/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) is "pushing to play" and is considered "50/50" for Sunday's game vs. the Bears, a source tells NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rodgers broke a bone in his left wrist in the Week 11 win over the Bengals. That's his non-throwing side, though, and Rodgers could be able to play if he's able to grip the ball and avoid making the injury worse. Rodgers is undergoing additional tests on the wrist on Monday. We'll keep you updated on his status throughout the week. QB Mason Rudolph will get the start if Rodgers is unable to play.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers suffered a "small fracture" in his left wrist in Sunday's win over the Bengals. That sounds bad, but he adds that "the initial believe is it's nothing long term."

        Aaron Rodgers Hurts Left Hand

        7:54pm UTC 11/16/25

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Bengals with a left hand injury. Rodgers banged the hand late in the first half and isn't on the field for the start of the second. Mason Rudolph is under center for Pittsburgh. We'll update Rodgers' status when we know more.
