Alvin Kamara Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Saints WR Chris Olave was the one shining spot of the Saints’ offense going 5-98-2 on 7 targets. He had the only scores of the entire day for the Saints who only mustered 14 points against the Bears. TE Juwan Johnson went 5-79-0 on seven targets while WR Rashid Shaheed led the team with nine targets only going 4-40-0.

Saints RB Kendre Miller is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Bears with a knee injury. We'll pass along an update on the injury when we get one. Miller's absence should mean more work for RB Alvin Kamara. Rookie RB Devin Neal is also active today.

Update: Miller has been ruled out.

The forecast for today's Saints-Bears game calls for winds of 15 mph with gusts around 30. That's enough to impact the passing and kicking games. We've made some projection docks to both passing games, although guys like QB Caleb Williams and WRs Rome Odunze and Chris Olave can remain in fantasy lineups. Avoid both kickers in this game. The over/under in this one has dropped from 46.5 to 44.5.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) is not listed on the final injury report for this weekend’s game vs. the Bears. He didn’t practice on Wednesday but was limited on Thursday and a full-go on Friday. Kamara played his usual role through this ankle issue last week and should do the same in Chicago on Sunday.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That should have him on track to play vs. the Bears this weekend, although Kamara clearly still isn't at 100%. He's no better than a low-end RB2 in Week 7 fantasy lineups.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. He was limited in practice all last week and listed as questionable before ultimately playing vs. the Patriots. We'll keep tabs on Kamara's status over the next few days. RB Kendre Miller remains a strong stash who would turn into a fantasy starter if Kamara misses time.

One week after getting out-carried by Kendre Miller, Alvin Kamara out-touched Miller 15-9 in the Saints' 25-19 Week 6 loss to the Patriots. Although Kamara played 2 fewer snaps in Week 6 than he did in Week 5, he played a higher percentage of plays versus the Patriots, temporarily quelling concerns that the Saints were looking to move on from their long-time veteran RB.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Patriots. We’re not expecting the ankle to be a major issue today, but Kamara checks in as just a RB3 in the Week 6 rankings.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) is expected to play vs. the Patriots on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Kamara was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, but this ankle issue never seemed serious. The bigger concerns are that he's been losing more work to RB Kendre Miller lately and draws a New England defense that ranks seventh in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs. Kamara sits in RB3 territory in the Week 6 rankings.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots after being limited in practice all week. New Orleans Football’s Mike Triplett reports that Kamara “should be good” to play in this one. It’s fair to assume he won’t be at 100%, though. And Kamara has already been losing work to RB Kendre Miller. He’s no better than a RB3 or Flex play this weekend.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice. The fact that he was able to get out there on back-to-back days should have him on track to play vs. the Patriots this weekend. But we'll see how Kamara is listed on Friday's final injury report.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice. New Orleans Football's Nick Underhill reports that Kamara hurt the ankle in the first half of last week's game and was still dealing with some soreness today. It "isn’t anything serious," Underhill adds. "He’ll be day-to-day this week." It sounds like Kamara will be available for Sunday's game against the Patriots, but the ankle adds more risk to a player who's already trending down. RB Kendre Miller should be rostered in virtually all fantasy leagues at this point.

The New Orleans Saints secured their first victory of the season, defeating the turnover-plagued New York Giants 26-14. The Saints were outgained by the Giants but won the turnover battle 5-0. New Orleans attempted 30 rushes but only produced 88 yards on the ground (2.9 yards per carry). However, one interesting takeaway was the division of carries. For the first time this season, Kendre Miller out-carried Alvin Kamara 10-8.

The New Orleans Saints have named Spencer Rattler as the team’s Week 1 starting QB, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Saints RB Kendre Miller out-snapped RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire 11 to four with the first-team offense in the team's preseason finale. RBs Cam Akers and Devin Neal received no first-team reps. Miller appears locked in as the No. 2 RB heading into Week 1.

Saints RB Devin Neal will miss "a couple weeks" with a hamstring injury, per HC Kellen Moore. Neal, a Round 6 rookie, was in a battle for the No. 2 RB job behind Alvin Kamara. His absence raises the late-round appeal of Kendre Miller, who'll still have to beat out Clyde Edwards-Helaire and others for the handcuff role.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson described new HC Kellen Moore's system as a "fast-break offense." Johnson added that he's "really excited" about the scheme.

Saints beat writer Ross Jackson calls Saints RB Kendre Miller a "great fit" for new HC Kellen Moore’s offense.
