Packers RB Emanuel Wilson drew workhorse usage in Sunday's win over the Vikings, with Josh Jacobs inactive. He rushed 28 times for 107 yards and 2 TDs, adding 2 receptions for 18 yards among two targets. Chris Brooks handled eight carries as the No. 2 RB, collecting just 21 yards (2.6 per carry).

Josh Jacobs Out For Week 12

        4:10pm UTC 11/23/25

Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee) won't play vs. the Vikings today, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Jacobs was seemingly close to getting the green light for this one, so we're expecting him back for the Thanksgiving game in Detroit. Emanuel Wilson should control backfield work for the Packers today and is a viable RB2 in fantasy lineups.

Josh Jacobs A True Game-Time Decision For Week 12

        12:53am UTC 11/23/25

Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee) will work out prior to Sunday's game vs. the Vikings before the team decides whether he'll play, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Jacobs' knee is still "tender," per Schefter, who also notes that Green Bay plays again on Thanksgiving in a big game against the Lions. "But the team wants to see how Jacobs feels pregame before making any decisions," Schefter adds. We'll look for updates on Jacobs' status on Sunday morning and get the Packers' inactives around 11:30 am ET.

Josh Jacobs Questionable For Week 12

        8:57pm UTC 11/21/25

Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Vikings. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Jacobs said on Thursday that his availability for this one will come down to whether he regains enough mobility in that knee. It seems like he has a legitimate chance to play, but we’ll look for further updates on his status and get Green Bay’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Jacobs’ absence would leave Emanuel Wilson as the top back – and a viable RB2 in fantasy lineups.

Josh Jacobs Back At Practice Thursday

        11:07pm UTC 11/20/25

Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He said afterward that he's still uncertain for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings but definitely expects to be back for the Thanksgiving game against the Lions. We'll update Jacobs' Week 12 status again tomorrow.

Josh Jacobs Out Wednesday, Not Ruled Out For Week 12

        6:49pm UTC 11/19/25

Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee) won't practice on Wednesday, HC Matt LaFleur said. LaFleur labeled Jacobs "day to day," though, and said he hasn't been ruled out for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. We're still not projecting Jacobs to play in that one but will continue to keep a close eye on his progress. RB Emanuel Wilson remains worth rostering in all fantasy leagues while we wait on Jacobs' status.

Josh Jacobs "Day To Day," Uncertain For Week 12

        5:07pm UTC 11/17/25

Further testing on Packers RB Josh Jacobs' injured knee revealed no structural damage, NFL Network reports. Jacobs does not need surgery and is considered "day to day" -- but he could miss this weekend's game against the Vikings. It's relatively good news. But Jacobs owners should still be lining up a backup plan for Week 12. Emmanuel Wilson will be a nice fill-in option if Jacobs is sidelined against Minnesota. Wilson played 94% of Green Bay's offensive snaps and handled all 11 RB carries after Jacobs exited yesterday's game vs. the Giants.

Update: ESPN's Rob Demovsky confirms that there's no structural damage to the knee but says that Jacobs is "considered week to week." We'll keep a close eye on his status but will start the week projecting him to miss Sunday's game vs. the Vikings.

Josh Jacobs' Knee Injury Not Season Ending

        10:58pm UTC 11/16/25

Packers RB Josh Jacobs' knee injury is not believed to be season ending, but he's set for additional testing on Monday, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. It's relatively good news -- but still a bit ominous. Jacobs owners should be bracing for him to miss some time, but we should learn more tomorrow. RB Emanuel Wilson operated as Green Bay’s clear lead back after Jacobs exited, out-carrying RB Chris Brooks 11 to 0. Wilson tallied 40 yards and a score, adding 11 yards on his lone catch. He’s looking at a strong role if Jacobs misses more time, although the next two weeks bring tough matchups against the Vikings and Lions. That’s followed by a plus draw against the Bears.

        Josh Jacobs Hurts Knee

        6:56pm UTC 11/16/25

Packers RB Josh Jacobs is questionable to return to today's game vs. the Giants with a knee injury. He got hurt in the first quarter, briefly returned, but then headed back to the locker room with trainers. We'll update his status when we know more. Jacobs' absence leaves Emanuel Wilson as Green Bay's lead back, with Chris Brooks behind him.

Update: Jacobs has been ruled out.

Josh Jacobs "Believes" He Can Play Week 7

        12:23pm UTC 10/19/25

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero hears that Packers RB Josh Jacobs (calf, illness) "believes" he'll be able to play vs. the Cardinals later today. A final decision will be made by the team, though, and might not come until pre-game warmups. Jacobs' situation wasn't helped by the Packers' plane being delayed six hours before taking off for Arizona last night. With Green Bay's inactives not due until a little before 3 pm ET, Jacobs owners should roster RB Emanuel Wilson or another late-game alternative in case he ends up sitting.

Josh Jacobs "A True Game-Time Decision" For Week 7

        1:20am UTC 10/19/25

The Packers consider RB Josh Jacobs (calf, illness) a "true game-time decision" for Sunday's meeting with the Cardinals, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It's presumably the calf that has Jacobs iffy for this one. That issue was added to the injury report on Friday, although Jacobs was a full participant in practice that day. We'll surely get more updates on Jacobs between now and the 1 pm ET kickoffs on Sunday. (We won't get Green Bay's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET.) Schefter also confirms that RB Emanuel Wilson would be the expected starter if Jacobs can't go. We'd also see RB Chris Brooks mix in, particularly on passing downs. And the Packers elevated RB Pierre Strong from the practice squad on Saturday. Wilson would likely settle in as a mid to high-end RB3 in the Week 7 rankings if Jacobs misses.

Josh Jacobs Questionable For Week 7

        8:48pm UTC 10/17/25

Packers RB Josh Jacobs (illness, calf) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Cardinals. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday with the illness. The calf was added to the injury report on Friday, but Jacobs was a full participant in practice. He should be fine for Sunday’s game, but we’ll keep you updated on his status. RB Emanuel Wilson would be the best bet in Green Bay’s backfield if Jacobs does not play.

Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd suffered a hamstring injury in Friday night's preseason game against the Colts. HC Matt LaFleur told reporters Sunday that Lloyd is "going to miss some time." The latest ding came shortly after Lloyd returned from a late July groin injury.

Jacobs carried 13 times for 69 yards and a TD, adding 4 receptions for 38 yards on 4 targets before he left. Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks added rushing TDs as well.

MarShawn Lloyd Expected Back At Practice This Week

        4:08pm UTC 11/11/24

Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) is expected to be designated to return and practice this week, according to The Athletic's Matt Schneidman. Lloyd has been dealing with injuries since the summer and has played just 10 snaps so far this season. If the rookie can get and stay healthy, he still has a chance to ascend to the No. 2 spot on Green Bay's depth chart, but he has work to do to get there. For now, Lloyd is only worth stashing in deep fantasy leagues.

        8:08pm UTC 11/1/24

Packers RB Josh Jacobs (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Lions. He only got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, but we’ve heard nothing to suggest that he’s in real danger of missing this one. We’ll look for further updates on Jacobs but won’t get Green Bay’s inactives until a little before 3 pm ET on Sunday. RBs Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks have been splitting work behind Jacobs recently.
