Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero hears that Packers RB Josh Jacobs (calf, illness) "believes" he'll be able to play vs. the Cardinals later today. A final decision will be made by the team, though, and might not come until pre-game warmups. Jacobs' situation wasn't helped by the Packers' plane being delayed six hours before taking off for Arizona last night. With Green Bay's inactives not due until a little before 3 pm ET, Jacobs owners should roster RB Emanuel Wilson or another late-game alternative in case he ends up sitting.
The Packers consider RB Josh Jacobs (calf, illness) a "true game-time decision" for Sunday's meeting with the Cardinals, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It's presumably the calf that has Jacobs iffy for this one. That issue was added to the injury report on Friday, although Jacobs was a full participant in practice that day. We'll surely get more updates on Jacobs between now and the 1 pm ET kickoffs on Sunday. (We won't get Green Bay's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET.) Schefter also confirms that RB Emanuel Wilson would be the expected starter if Jacobs can't go. We'd also see RB Chris Brooks mix in, particularly on passing downs. And the Packers elevated RB Pierre Strong from the practice squad on Saturday. Wilson would likely settle in as a mid to high-end RB3 in the Week 7 rankings if Jacobs misses.
Packers RB Josh Jacobs (illness, calf) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Cardinals. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday with the illness. The calf was added to the injury report on Friday, but Jacobs was a full participant in practice. He should be fine for Sunday’s game, but we’ll keep you updated on his status. RB Emanuel Wilson would be the best bet in Green Bay’s backfield if Jacobs does not play.
The Green Bay Packers have placed RB MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) on injured reserve, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd suffered a hamstring injury in Friday night's preseason game against the Colts. HC Matt LaFleur told reporters Sunday that Lloyd is "going to miss some time." The latest ding came shortly after Lloyd returned from a late July groin injury.
Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd has no limitations at the start of voluntary offseason work. A variety of injuries (ankle, hamstring, appendicitis) limited him to one game and six carries as a Round 3 rookie.
Packers RB Emanuel Wilson racked up 11 carries for 52 yards and a TD in Monday night's win over the Saints. He loaded up on second-half work after Green Bay pulled Josh Jacobs early in the third quarter. It was Wilson's most carries since Week 3, second-most yards of the season, and third TD of the year.
Packers RB Josh Jacobs got his final carry early in third quarter of Monday night's win over the Saints. He didn't get hurt. Green Bay simply didn't need him beyond that. Jacobs carried 13 times for 69 yards and a TD, adding 4 receptions for 38 yards on 4 targets before he left. Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks added rushing TDs as well.
Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) is expected to be designated to return and practice this week, according to The Athletic's Matt Schneidman. Lloyd has been dealing with injuries since the summer and has played just 10 snaps so far this season. If the rookie can get and stay healthy, he still has a chance to ascend to the No. 2 spot on Green Bay's depth chart, but he has work to do to get there. For now, Lloyd is only worth stashing in deep fantasy leagues.
Packers RB Josh Jacobs notched 95 yards on 13 carries in a Week 9 loss to Detroit. Jacobs’ 7.3 yards per carry mark tied his single-game career high.
Packers RB Josh Jacobs (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Lions. He only got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, but we’ve heard nothing to suggest that he’s in real danger of missing this one. We’ll look for further updates on Jacobs but won’t get Green Bay’s inactives until a little before 3 pm ET on Sunday. RBs Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks have been splitting work behind Jacobs recently.
Packers RB Josh Jacobs finally caught his first career TD pass in Sunday's win over the Texans. That marked one of his 5 receptions for 16 yards. Jacobs finished second on the team in catches and scored from 8 yards out in the middle of the third quarter.
Packers RB Josh Jacobs managed just 43 yards on 14 carries in the Week 3 win over the Titans. Only one of his runs went for more than six yards. Jacobs had another four carries for 39 yards negated by penalties. It was an even more frustrating game for fantasy owners because No. 2 RB Emanuel Wilson ripped off 85 total yards and a TD on 14 total touches. That was only one fewer touch than Jacobs finished with.
The Packers are placing RB MarShawn Lloyd on IR with the ankle injury he suffered in the Week 2 win over the Colts, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. That was Lloyd's debut after missing most of August and Week 1 with hip and hamstring injuries. The rookie is now out another four games. At this point, it's tough to imagine him being a fantasy factor this season, even if RB Josh Jacobs goes down.
Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) is active for today’s game against the Colts. The rookie is not a fantasy option in his debut, but we’ll be curious to see how many snaps he plays compared to RB Emanuel Wilson. Lloyd remains the preferred handcuff to Josh Jacobs.
Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) is inactive for tonight’s game vs. the Eagles. The rookie missed a ton of time this summer and won’t be a factor in the short term. RB Emanuel Wilson (hip) and practice-squad call-up RB Ellis Merriweather are active behind RB Josh Jacobs, who figures to dominate touches tonight.
Packers RBs MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) and Emanuel Wilson (hip) are listed as questionable for Friday night's opener vs. the Eagles. Both guys got in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday and figure to be active tomorrow. But neither is likely to play a big role. RB Josh Jacobs is a good bet to dominate touches against Philly. He sits 10th in the Week 1 RB Rankings.
Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) was on the field in pads for Sunday's practice. The rookie missed the majority of August with hip and hamstring injuries but is seemingly on track to be available for Friday night's opener vs. the Eagles.
The Packers have placed RB A.J. Dillon on IR. He was not designated to return, meaning his 2024 season is over. This is presumably related to the stinger that had Dillon sidelined recently.
Packers RB A.J. Dillon (thumb, neck) is inactive for today's Wild Card game vs. the Cowboys. That should leave RB Aaron Jones in a workhorse role, with RBs Patrick Taylor and Emanuel Wilson behind him.
