Julian Love Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Seahawks S Julian Love (hamstring), Edge Derick Hall (foot), and Edge Boye Mafe (knee) are active for tonight's game against the 49ers. All should be ready for planned IDP usage.

The Seahawks have ruled CB Riq Woolen (ankle) and DT Byron Murphy (hamstring) out for Thursday night's game against the 49ers. Edge Uchenna Nwosu (thigh) is also out and expected to land on IR ahead of the game. Additionally, Seattle lists Edge Derick Hall (foot), Edge Boye Mafe (knee), and S Julian Love (hamstring) as questionable vs. San Francisco. Love played through the same issue in Week 5, missing just one of 71 snaps. But HC Mike Macdonald calls him a game-time decision on the short week. Macdonald said Wednesday he's "confident" Hall and Mafe will play. Each practiced in full Wednesday.

Seahawks S Julian Love (thigh) is active for today's game against the Giants, as expected. Edge Boye Mafe (knee) is inactive. It'll be his second straight game missed. Missing Mafe doesn't hurt Seattle as a team D play in a high-upside matchup, though.

The Seahawks have agreed to a three-year extension with S Julian Love that could be worth up to $36 million, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. The deal marks a significant increase on Love's average annual salary from the two-year, $12 million pact he signed with Seattle last offseason.

Seahawks S Jamal Adams (knee) is inactive for today's game against the Rams. That should mean starter-level playing time for S Julian Love. We've dumped Adams from the Week 11 DB rankings and given Love a big boost.

Seahawks S Julian Love (hamstring) and S Quandre Diggs (hamstring) are active for today's game against the Panthers. S Jamal Adams is inactive. Expect him to make his season debut in Week 4 after returning to practice the past two weeks.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Monday that S Jamal Adams will return to limited practice participation this week for the first time since tearing a quad muscle in last year's opener. “Let’s take it one day at a time,” Carroll said, per Pro Football Talk. “He’s going to have a limited amount of plays as he gets back and re-enters, but he’ll get individual work and start getting some of the basic stuff just to get him back out there.” It's too early to say when Adams will be ready for game action. But Seattle elected to activate him from the PUP before the season started. That indicates they expect him back by at least Week 4. Julian Love started in Adams' place against the Rams and remains an IDP option until Adams is ready. We'll see about Love's role beyond that.

Giants 4th-round S Dane Belton "got the majority of the reps with the first team" in Thursday's OTA session, according to Zack Rosenblatt of NJ.com. Belton reportedly played alongside safeties Xavier McKinney and Julian Love, as well as in place of 1 of them at times. Rosenblatt adds that Belton "will seriously push" Love for the starting job opposite McKinney (a former 2nd-round pick). Belton didn't post big numbers across 3 seasons at Iowa but did close his career with 5 INTs in 2021. McKinney's the only 1 we'd bet on in IDP drafts right now, but we'll see how the rest of this competition goes. The Giants released Logan Ryan after deploying him as a full-time player last season.

Giants HC Joe Judge said Friday that S Logan Ryan will likely miss a 2nd straight game on the COVID list. It sounded like there was still a slight chance Ryan might be able to get in the 2 negative tests needed to make him eligible to return, but Judge conceded that the Giants are planning to not have Ryan available. S Julian Love played every snap against the Bucs in Ryan's absence.
