Miami Dolphins Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland (hand) and Edge Emmanuel Ogbah (biceps) will play Sunday against the Cardinals, HC Mike McDaniel told reporters Friday. Each player missed the Week 7 loss to the Colts. Holland returns as a DB3-level option in the Week 8 rankings. Ogbah looks like a DL4-5 with upside. Arizona QB Kyler Murray took 4 sacks apiece in losses to Buffalo and Washington. He has taken just 3 total sacks across the other five games.

Doiphins DL Zach Sieler will miss Sunday's game against the Cardals after getting poked in the eye in practice, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. HC Mike McDaniel said Friday they don't know Sieler's return timeline beyond that yet. There's no DL behind Sieler in Miami worth playing in his place in most IDP formats.

Dolphins LB David Long (knee) is active for today’s game against the Colts. He remained limited throughout the practice week despite coming off a Week 6 bye. Long carries plenty of upside but also some risk for IDP lineups.

Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips announced Wednesday that he'll miss the rest of the season with a knee injury he suffered Monday night against the Titans. "I suffered a season ending knee injury that will require reconstructive surgery," he posted on Instagram. That marks a second straight season-ending injury for Phillips, who tore an Achilles' tendon last November.

Dolphins Edge Bradley Chubb will remain on the physically unable to perform list at the start of the regular season, HC Mike McDaniel announced Monday. That's not a surprise, as Chubb continues to work back from a late December ACL tear. But it confirms that he'll miss at least the first four regular-season games.

The Dolphins announced Monday that they're activating Edge Jaelan Phillips off the physically unable to perform list. That makes Phillips eligible to practice just 8.5 months after he tore his right Achilles' tendon.

The Dolphins spent the 21st pick of the NFL Draft on Edge Chop Robinson. After a year at Maryland, Robinson closed out his college career with tow years at Penn State. He totaled 60 tackles, 11.5 sacks, and 20.0 tackles for loss across his three seasons. Robinson delivered a 97th-percentile speed score at 254 pounds at the Scouting Combine. We're a little concerned that Robinson won't claim high enough snap shares to produce consistent fantasy stats.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland (knees) and LB Jerome Baker (knee) are active for tonight's game against the Bills. It's the second straight game for Holland after he returned last week from a four-game absence. Baker missed the past four games with his injury and remained limited in practice this week. We've added him to the Week 18 LB rankings and knocked David Long down.

Dolphins Edge Bradley Chubb tore his right ACL in Sunday's loss to the Ravens. That's the second such injury of his NFL career. Chubb tore his left ACL in Week 4 of 2019. His pass-rushing production dipped the following season. Chubb then struggled through 2021 as well, but the main issue there was an ankle injury that originated in summer and got aggravated in Week 2. The timing of this injury figures to challenge the 27-year-old's (28 in June) readiness for the 2024 season. Chubb's contract should lock him in with the Dolphins for at least one more season, but there's potential for him to be a cap casualty ahead of the 2025 campaign. We'll watch for updates on his return throughout the offseason. For Week 18 (and the playoffs) of this season, Melvin Ingram figures to see the biggest playing-time boost in Chubb's absence. He's not a high-level IDP option for Sunday night's regular-season finale against the Bills.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland (knees), CB Jalen Ramsey (knee), and CB Xavien Howard (hip, thumb) are active for today's game against the Ravens. Holland missed the past four games with the knee troubles and remained limited in practice this week. There's likely some risk of re-injury, but Miami also appears to have been cautious in bringing him back. Holland's ultimately worth using as planned in most IDP cases. Ramsey and Howard are no more than low-level IDP possibilities.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland (knees) is inactive for today's game against the Cowboys. Expect Brandon Jones to start in his place. Jones is a solid fill-in if you had been hoping to get Holland back. CB Xavien Howard (hip) is active after hitting the day questionable.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland (knees) and CB Xavien Howard (hip) are inactive for today's game against the Jets. With S DeShon Elliott (concussion) also out, that leaves Miami down three of its top four DBs. It's tough to trust QB Zach Wilson for fantasy production, but the setting looks excellent for WR Garrett Wilson at least. Edge Andrew Van Ginkel (oblique) is active after entering the day questionable.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland (knees) is questionable for the third straight game. He missed the past two contests. But this week marked the first time in that span that Holland managed limited practices every day. He told reporters Friday only that he's "day to day," "taking his time," and "coming along nicely," according to Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post. We'll check Holland's status Sunday. It'll matter even more after Miami ruled out S DeShon Elliott with a concussion. S Brandon Jones should get his third straight start. Elijah Campbell stepped in after Elliott left last week's game. Missing both starting safeties would obviously make Miami's defense more vulnerable, especially a week after arguably the best game of Jets QB Zach Wilson's career. The Dolphins have also deemed CB Xavien Howard (hip) and Edge Andrew Van Ginkel (oblique) questionable. Howard missed one practice before returning to limited work Thursday and Friday. Van Ginkel was limited each day. We'll check their statuses Sunday morning.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland (knees) is inactive for tonight's game against the Titans. Brandon Jones should get a second straight start in his place. He posted just 5 tackles (4 solo) in the Week 13 win over Washington but added a QB hit. That came on Jones' only pass-rushing attempt so far this season, though. So he's not a strong bet for production in that category.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland (knees) is questionable for Monday night's game against the Titans. He managed limited practices Friday and Saturday this week. Holland got in just one limited practice in Week 13 before missing that game. We'll check his status Monday. Brandon Jones would fill in if Holland can't go.

The Dolphins have placed LB Jerome Baker (knee) on IR. That means he'll miss at least the next four games, which mark the final four weeks in most fantasy football seasons. So feel free to drop Baker, if you haven't done so already. David Long should lead Miami's non-edge LBs in playing time over the next month. LB Duke Riley checked in second after Baker left the Week 13 win over Washington.

Dolphins LB Jerome Baker suffered an MCL injury in Sunday's win over Washington. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Baker's considered "week to week at this point." That's not generally the way you describe a guy with a good chance to play this week. Assume Baker won't be available for next Monday's matchup with Tennessee. David Long led Miami LBs in playing time against Washington, with Duke Riley following. The team will also reportedly host LB Reuben Foster for a workout Wednesday, another bad sign for Baker's outlook.

Dolphins LB Jerome Baker left Sunday's game against the Commanders with a knee injury and has been ruled out. We'll see about his status heading into next Monday night's home date with the Titans. David Long is likely to lead the LB corps in playing time while Baker is out.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland (knees) is inactive for today's game against the Commanders. Brandon Jones should fill in and carries both tackle and sack upside against the league's busiest pass offense.

Dolphins S Jevon Holland is questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, listed with issues in both knees. That certainly doesn't seem to bode well, and Holland missed the week's first two practices before putting in a limited Friday. We'll check his status Sunday, but you should plan for another option in your IDP lineup.
