We'll track his practice participation throughout the week and look for reports on how close to 100% he'll be on Sunday. But an active Nacua would be nearly impossible to leave out of fantasy lineups.

"Functionally, Nacua can play, but he has not felt like he can play with the same explosiveness he has had in the past," Schefter writes. Schefter also confirms that Nacua has a chance to return for Week 4 but adds that surgery is "not entirely off the table if Nacua doesn’t show signs of improvement." So we're somewhere between Nacua returning next week and needing surgery, which would presumably cost him multiple more games. Ok then. At this point, Nacua owners should probably hold rather than sell at a discount. But the uncertain timeline and possibility of surgery make him too risky to recommend as a trade target. We’ll keep you updated on his progress this coming week.

Nacua didn't practice all week and does not have a clear timetable for return. WR Davante Adams (32% target share) and TE Terrance Ferguson (29%) dominated passing-game work with Nucua out last week. Nacua is listed as questionable after missing practice on Friday and Saturday. He's listed on the injury report with a hip, but HC Sean McVay said Saturday that Nacua is dealing with a "little bit of soreness" in his groin. McVay also said this isn't the same issue that sidelined Nacua in August (which we're not sure is good or bad). Nacua owners are in a tough spot with the late kickoff. Giants WR Malachi Fields and Rams TE Terrance Ferguson (in a flex spot) are the best replacement options from Monday night's game, but neither is particularly strong. We'll see if we hear anything else on Nacua before the early games kick off today.

TE Terrance Ferguson could also see a spike in usage if Nacua sits and could be used in place of Nacua in a flex spot.

Update: Whittington will be listed as doubtful with a quad injury, McVay said. That leaves Davante Adams, Xavier Smith, Konata Mumpfield, Tutu Atwell, and C.J. Daniels as the Rams' healthy WRs.

We don't have any other details on this ailment, but it's worth remembering that Nacua missed three weeks in August with a psoas injury. This latest issue could be related. We'll see if Nacua practices tomorrow and then how he's listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Giants.

In what was the lowest-scoring game for a Matthew Stafford-led Rams’ offense, Puka Nacua still produced 12.4 PPR. He finished opening week in Australia catching five of 9 targets for 74 yards, that included a 41 yard reception at the end of the first quarter. Nacua’s 74 receiving yards led all WRs in yesterday’s game.
