Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Bills inactives vs. New England today include S Taylor Rapp (neck), S Damar Hamlin (rib), CB Rasul Douglas (knee), and LB Matt Milano (groin). Milano's absence should mean a start for LB Dorian Williams, who was questionable with an elbow injury but is active. He carries big tackle upside into the role he played before Milano's return. Buffalo started S Cam Lewis, CB Kaiir Elam and S Cole Bishop with the same secondary trio out last week. None supplied big numbers despite a huge-volume passing day for the Lions in that one. None is probably worth attention for your Week 16 IDP lineup.
The Bills will miss CB Rasul Douglas for Sunday's game against the Lions. He has been ruled out. They might also miss both starting safeties. Taylor Rapp and Damar Hamlin are both questionable. Both safeties practiced in non-contact jerseys Friday and were officially limited. It was the first practice for Rapp this week. Hamlin missed Thursday's workout before going limited Friday. We'll check their statuses ahead of the game. The late-afternoon kickoff means you probably shouldn't count on either for your IDP lineup if you can help it.
Bills HC Sean McDermott said Friday that WR Gabe Davis (knee) won't play Sunday against the Chiefs. That should mean a continued role increase for WR Khalil Shakir. But WR Trent Sherfield got an even bigger bump the past two games. He has played his two largest snap shares of the season -- 71% at Miami, 63% vs. Steelers -- in the game Davis left and then the playoff opener he missed. Sherfield didn't see a target against Pittsburgh, so he's only in range as a DFS flyer and for deeper fantasy formats. Shakir racked up 6-105 receiving in the regular-season finale but then drew just 3 targets against the Steelers. He presents intriguing upside but is also no lock for opportunities. The Bills will also go without CB Christian Benford and S Taylor Rapp.
The Bills have ruled S Jordan Poyer (knee) out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. That's not awesome news for Buffalo's defense against a team that already had Tyreek Hill and now returns Jaylen Waddle from a concussion. Taylor Rapp looks like the fill-in for Poyer and could see more tackle opportunities than the Bills would like. See where Rapp sits in our Week 4 DB rankings.
Rams S Taylor Rapp (ribs) is active for today's game against the Cowboys.
Rams S Taylor Rapp (ribs) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. He opened the week with 2 limited practices but then sat out Friday. We'll check his status Sunday.
The Rams have ruled S Taylor Rapp out for Monday night's game against the Cardinals. Rapp is dealing with a concussion he suffered last Sunday. His absence leaves L.A. without its 2 starting safeties, as Jordan Fuller had previously been deemed out for the season with an ankle injury. The Rams signed veteran S Eric Weddle early in the week. Stu Jackson of the team website reports that coaches are "looking at a range of possible snaps for him." Elsewhere on the defense, HC Sean McVay said there's a "good chance" LB Troy Reeder will wear the green dot and call the defensive plays, which points to full playing time for Reeder.
Rams S Taylor Rapp (shoulder), DL Greg Gaines (hand) and edge Leonard Floyd (ankle) are active for today's game against the Ravens.
Rams DL Greg Gaines (hand) and S Taylor Rapp (shoulder) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. We'll check their statuses Sunday morning.
