Khalil Shakir Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Second-year Bills WR Keon Coleman broke out against the Ravens, catching eight of 11 targets for 112 yards and a TD. He led the team in targets, with Khalil Shakir and Joshua Palmer next at nine apiece. Coleman also paced the WRs with an 88.2% snap rate.

Bills WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) put in a full week of practice and is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday night’s game vs. the Ravens. Shakir should be a full-go for that one, making him a low-end WR3 option.

Bills WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He's been back at practice for about a week now after his early-August high-ankle sprain, and it looks like he'll be ready for a full workload in Sunday night's opener vs. the Ravens. Shakir sits 43rd in our Week 1 WR Rankings.

Buffalo Bills’ WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) returned to practice on Wednesday, according to Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.

Bills WR Khalil Shakir remains sidelined with the high-ankle sprain he suffered on August 2. HC Sean McDermott said Tuesday that Shakir has avoided setbacks in his rehab and suggested that he's nearing a return.

Bills HC Sean McDermott said Thursday that the team's medical staff believes WR Khalil Shakir is on pace to be ready for Week 1. He's working his way back from a high-ankle sprain suffered on August 2.

Bills WR Khalil Shakir suffered a high right ankle sprain in the team's Saturday practice at the stadium. HC Sean McDermott told reporters Sunday that Shakir is "week to week." Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports says sources project a 4-5 week expected absence.

The Bills signed WR Elijah Moore to a one-year deal worth "up to" $5 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. We'll see how much guaranteed money Moore got, but it's probably not enough to make him a roster lock.

The Bills have agreed to a three-year deal with WR Josh Palmer. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Palmer will get $36 million, with $18 million of that guaranteed. Palmer spent his first four seasons with the Chargers, falling short of 40 receptions in three of those years. That included last year, when his 2.6 receptions per game trailed Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, and Will Dissly and narrowly led J.K. Dobbins (2.5).

The Bills have announced a four-year extension for WR Khalil Shakir. The pact locks him in through 2029. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Shakir will get "up to" $60.2 million, including $32 million guaranteed.

The forecast for today's Jets-Bills game calls for a 45-60% chance of rain throughout the contest with sustained winds of 15 mph and gusts around 30 mph. They're far from ideal conditions but shouldn't kill either passing game. The game still has a 44.5-point over/under, with the Bills implied for 27.25 points. We're not adjusting our projections for this one.

Bills WR Curtis Samuel (rib) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Jets. Buffalo will continue to roll with a WR rotation of Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Amari Cooper, and Mack Hollins.

Bills WR Keon Coleman (wrist) put in a full week of practice and is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday's game vs. the Lions. It's unclear how big a role the rookie will play in his first game since Week 9. We'd try to keep Coleman on fantasy benches this week. His return does add some downside risk to the target projections on WRs Amari Cooper and Khalil Shakir.

Bills QB Josh Allen posted a career-high 55.3 fantasy points in Sunday’s loss to the Rams. Allen accounted for six total TDs (three passing, three rushing).

Bills WR Amari Cooper (wrist) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Colts. With WR Keon Coleman out with his own wrist injury, Buffalo is down to WRs Khalil Shakir, Mack Hollins, Curtis Samuel, Jalen Virgil, and Tyrell Shavers. Shakir and TE Dalton Kincaid are the team’s best target bets today.
