49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said RB Jeff Wilson (knee) will be designated to return from IR and practice this week. He's been out since May surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. Wilson figures to need at least a week to get his legs back under him, so don't expect him to play in Week 9. We'll see if he's ready come Week 10. Wilson's most likely role will be as a short-yardage and goal-line back.
