Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III did not practice all week and has been given doubtful status for Week 2. It is highly unlikely that Walker will play against the Patriots, making RB Zach Charbonnet the lead back for the Seahawks with Kenny McIntosh as the back-up
Walker suffered an oblique injury toward the end of the Seahawks Week 1 game against the Broncos and left the game. When the media asked him about it, he said "I'm good".
Unfortunately, it seems like Walker wasn't good. He did not practice all week and now carries the "Doubtful" tag which makes it about 95% that he is out this week.
Walker missed three games last season, and Charbonnet had at least 18 touches in each of those games. He moves up to RB2 status for this week.
The Patriots gave up 4.6 yards per carry in Week 1, so Charbonnet could have a solid day running the ball.
Any oblique injury can linger for a few weeks, even relatively minor ones. Walker will likely be on the bubble for Week 3, even if he can get some limited practices in.
Keep an eye on Shark Bites next week to see if Walker is trending toward playing or if it will be another Charbonnet week.
