Texans RB Joe Mixon is still "week to week" with his ankle injury, according to insider Aaron Wilson. It doesn't sound like Mixon is likely to play vs. the Jaguars on Sunday. Houston is expected to get RB Dameon Pierce back from his hamstring injury for that one, per Wilson.

The return of Pierce makes this a backfield to avoid in Week 4 fantasy lineups. Pierce played ahead of Akers this preseason and in Week 1, although Akers has been the more effective runner. It's unclear how carries will be divvied between them. And they'll both lose passing-down work to RB Dare Ogunbowale.
