Texans RB Joe Mixon (ankle) is not expected to play vs. the Bills this weekend, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Mixon was limited in practice last Friday but has missed the first two practices of this week. So it looks like he suffered a setback.

With RB Dameon Pierce (hamstring) also unlikely to play against Buffalo, Houston's backfield will again be manned by Cam Akers, Dare Ogunbowale, and J.J. Taylor.

Akers has led in carries the past two games, but he handled just 13 of 21 RB carries (62%) last week, losing six to Taylor and two to Ogunbowale. He also finished without a target last week.

The Bills have struggled in run defense so far, adding upside to Akers' Week 5 profile. But he can't be considered more than a RB3 or Flex play with the usage he's gotten.
