Cowboys QB Dak Prescott said he’s “getting close to where I want to be” in his recovery from a torn right hamstring. "If I had to play a game today, I definitely could do that," Prescott added via ESPN. "It's about moving forward healthy to make sure I can play 17 times, 20 [games] -- whatever we get to when the time's right." Recall that Prescott needed surgery and was placed on IR following the Week 9 injury.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Prescott made only eight appearances in 2024 due to the hamstring. He finished as a top-10 fantasy QB in only one of seven healthy games, with fringe finishes at QB11 and QB13.
Ultimately, it was a step back from his dynamic 2023 performance. That year, he set or tied career highs in completions and completion rate while finishing QB3 in fantasy points.
In 2024, Dallas really lacked playmakers beyond CeeDee Lamb. They haven’t made an impactful offseason addition at WR, but an early draft pick at the position is certainly in play.
Currently, Prescott is the QB17 in early Underdog ADP. Assuming his health stays on a positive trajectory, Dak's ADP makes him a small bargain according to our 2025 QB rankings.
