NBC Sports Boston's Albert Breer says Patriots WR Stefon Diggs is "trending" to be ready for Week 1. He's working his way back from last October's torn ACL. Breer expects Diggs to open training camp on the PUP list but come off by the end of August.
What They're Saying
More from Breer: "The biggest question becomes whether or not you can expect 100% of Stef Diggs this year, because that first year [coming off the ACL tear] can be tricky sometimes, especially for an older player."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
As Breer notes, there are still questions about the level of play we'll see from Diggs this season. But recent vibes on his recovery from this knee injury have been positive. Diggs reported to OTAs in early June and appeared to be running and cutting at something close to full speed.
We'll continue to keep an eye on Diggs' progress. The risks heading into 2025 are obvious. But so is the upside: Diggs could be the clear target leader for an ascending offense under QB Drake Maye.
Don't expect him to be a reliable fantasy starter early on this season. But he could be a staple in starting lineups by October.
Diggs is worth the gamble at his WR44 ADP.
