Ravens TE Isaiah Likely suffered an ankle injury near the end of Tuesday’s practice, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. Likely is set to have an MRI on Wednesday but is expected to be out “a few weeks,” HC Jim Harbaugh said.
What They're Saying
Zrebiec: “[Jim] Harbaugh said that Isaiah Likely rolled his ankle and it’s 'going to be a few weeks.' He said Likely will get MRI tomorrow so they’ll have more info then.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
“A few weeks” certainly isn’t the most definitive timetable, but it sure sounds like Likely is going to miss a good bit of time.
If Likey is forced to miss the first week or two of the regular season, it would drastically boost TE Mark Andrews’ fantasy value. Andrews’ route participation cratered last year. He ran a route on just over 52% of Baltimore’s dropbacks, a steep decline from his 2023 rate (76.1%). Andrews also ranked 23rd among TEs in total routes, largely relying on an absurd TD rate.
A Likely absence would also impact WRs Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. The Ravens utilized ‘12’ personnel (2-TE sets) 31% of the time last year. With Likely drawing targets on 21.3% of his routes last year, QB Lamar Jackson would be looking towards Flowers and Bateman more, while the Ravens would likely deploy more three-wide sets.
We’ll keep an eye on Likely’s status going forward. But for now, fantasy managers should view this as an arrow up for Andrews – and potentially a boost for Flowers and Bateman, too.
