NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Rams QB Matthew Stafford's back issue is an aggravated disc and that his treatment has included an epidural. Rapoport corroborates the earlier Schefter report that the Rams expect the QB to be ready for the opener, adding that the Rams deem him "week to week."
I don't know about you, but the only other time I hear about epidurals relates to childbirth. (The Rams probably would have told us if Stafford was nearing that stage.)
We'll have to keep watching this situation at least up until Stafford returns to the field, and probably beyond that.
