Packers WR Jayden Reed did not play in Saturday night's preseason game and was spotted with a boot on his left foot. We don't have any other details on the injury. Reed played in Green Bay's Family Night game last weekend, so the injury occurred sometime between then and now.
What They're Saying
HC Matt LaFleur on whether there’s any concern that Reed won’t be ready for Week 1: “Potentially. I think any time you see a guy in a boot, that’s a concern. ... Hopefully, we’ll get him back before the regular season.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
We're not removing any full games from Reed's projection just yet. But we did dock his floor projection, bumping him down a few spots in the WR rankings. We'll continue to keep a close eye on his status.
It's tough to say exactly who would benefit most if Reed misses regular-season time. He's run 76% of his routes from the slot in each of the last two seasons. Dontayvion Wicks had the next-highest slot rate among Green Bay's top four WRs last year -- but at just 36%.
Rookie WR Matthew Golden played just 35% of his snaps in the slot in 2023 and 24% last year. But he was more effective on the inside, averaging 2.54 yards per route from the slot for his college career vs. 1.67 from the outside.
