Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell said Wednesday that WR Justin Jefferson's hamstring is "progressing" and that he'll be re-assessed next week, per The Athletic's Alec Lewis. Jefferson has been sidelined since July 25.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Jefferson has been out for 19 days now, and it sounds like he'll be sidelined for at least a few more. The Vikings are surely playing it extra safe with their stud WR, but it's starting to look like this was more than a minor hamstring injury.
There's still been nothing to suggest that Jefferson is in danger of missing the start of the season, assuming he avoids a setback. We're not moving him in the fantasy football rankings now but will continue to keep a very close eye on his status between now and Week 1.
Other Winners & Losers
The Vikings will already be without WR Jordan Addison for the first three games of the season. Jefferson's absence would suddenly leave Jalen Nailor as Minnesota's top WR. We'd see a ton of TE T.J. Hockenson and RBs Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason in that case.
