Rams QB Matt Stafford has been setback-free since returning to practice a little over a week ago and is on track to play in the opener against the Texans, according to HC Sean McVay. “I can’t see into the future. But if you look at what the last week has entailed, I feel really good," McVay said. "And there’s nothing that would lead me to believe, unless we have an unforeseen setback, that he’s not gonna be ready to roll against the Texans."

The news on Stafford has turned positive over the last week, and he's looking like a good bet to be out there come Week 1.
The question now is how that back holds up when he starts taking hits. There's still elevated risk here, knocking Stafford off the radar outside of 2-QB and superflex leagues.
His situation also adds a bit of risk to the Rams' skill-position players -- although QB Jimmy Garoppolo is one of the better backups in the league. We'd expect him to keep this offense afloat if forced onto the field.
