NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said that RB Nick Chubb will serve as the Houston Texans' "bell cow" RB in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams.
With Joe Mixon sidelined indefinitely, Chubb will have the opportunity to establish himself as the Texans' No. 1 RB.
Chubb had a mixed preseason but looked better as August progressed.
Now, he'll get the opportunity to make an impact against a Rams defense that was solid against the run last season, permitting the 13th-fewest points to RBs.
