Packers QB Jordan Love diced up the Commanders on Thursday night, completing 19 of 31 passes (61.3%) for 292 yards (9.4 YPA), 2 TDs, and 0 INTs. He was especially dominant against the blitz, racking up 175 yards and both scores on 9-of-15 passing when Washington sent extra rushers, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. That included a big 57-yarder to TE Tucker Kraft. Love also had a 37-yard completion to WR Malik Heath, who made an impressive grab along the left sideline. The outing could have been even bigger had Love not just missed WR Matthew Golden twice -- once for what would have been a 33-yard TD and another on a deep ball down the middle of the field.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
The only bad news to come out of this game was WR Jayden Reed's broken collarbone, which is expected to cost him 6-8 weeks. The Packers have the WR depth to survive that injury, though. And TE Tucker Kraft looks primed for a big season.
Love's raw production wasn't nearly as big in Week 1 as it was in Week 2. But he was similarly impressive. He's now completed 66.0% of his passes at 9.1 yards per attempt with 4 TDs vs. 0 INTs through two games.
The biggest risk to Love's fantasy value going forward is a Packers defense that's looked dominant so far. This team figures to be playing with plenty of leads, which could suppress the passing volume.
If Love continues to play this well, though, he'll have a good shot at a top-12 fantasy finish. He has fine matchups the next two weeks against the Browns and Cowboys before a Week 5 bye.
