Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence rebounded from a low-output Week 1 to post 271 yards and 3 TD against the Bengals in Week 2. Lawrence was far from perfect, though, throwing 2 INTs -- including one in the end zone.
What They're Saying
Here's HC Liam Coen (via the Jaguars' official X account):
“Obviously, the turnovers are hard …whether that’s his fault, I can’t say. I gotta watch it. The one thing I will say is that I think he competed his tail off. I thought he was getting us again, in and out of the right things and made a lot of big throws … he made some really good throws for us. I gotta look at some of the ones he missed … but we can win with him playing like that … and limiting the turnovers…I was very proud of the competitor that he was today.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Lawrence hit Dyami Brown, Bhayshul Tuten, and Travis Etienne for TDs. The scores to the RBs were simply dump-offs/screens. But the throw to Brown was a beautiful ball with pressure in Lawrence’s face.
One of Lawrence's INTs surfaced in the end zone, as he underthrew an out-breaking route to Travis Hunter. The other pick went to Brian Thomas Jr., who shied away from contact on a ball over the middle.
Lawrence delivered despite Thomas mustering only 49 yards on 12 targets. His ability to get hot will certainly influence Lawrence’s consistency and upside going forward.
Week 3 turns up a brutal home matchup vs. Houston’s talented secondary and fierce pass rush. Consider Lawrence a QB2 for that one.
