Steelers RB Jaylen Warren rushed 14 times for 48 yards on Sunday. RBs Kenneth Gainwell only had five carries, while Kaleb Johnson had one. Warren did most of his damage through the air, catching all four targets for 86 yards, leading the team in receiving.
The Steelers only scored one TD against the Seahawks, a far cry from their four against the Jets in Week 1.
We buy the Week 2 version of the Steelers as most likely going forward. That likely stifles Warren’s TD potential.
He was close to scoring one on a catch, breaking four tackles before being tackled on the 4-yard line.
It was great to see him more involved in the passing game, where Warren has been so good throughout his career. In PPR leagues, he still has some flex appeal.
Gainwell took a step back in touches after the first week, while rookie Kaleb Johnson was an afterthought. Johnson even fumbled on a kickoff that was returned for a TD, so he could fall even more in the doghouse.
