Colts TE Tyler Warren took a step back in Week 3, snagging only 3 of 5 targets for 38 yards against Tennessee. QB Daniel Jones needed to attempt only 25 passes in the blowout win.
What They're Saying
Warren drew praise for his lead block on a long TD run by Jonathan Taylor.
Here’s HC Shane Steichen, via Colts reporter Noah Compton:
“It was a hell of a job up front. [Tyler] Warren leading with 2-8 [Jonathan Taylor] breaking tackles. It was fun. It was like old-school, smash mouth football.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Per PFF, Warren played only 68% of the snaps in this one. That was a step down from the 83% he played over the first two weeks. Remember, too, that the rookie missed practice on Wednesday with a toe injury. He returned for limited sessions on Thursday and Friday.
Warren looked healthy against Tennessee. He drew a screen target and showed his power on the run-after-catch. And overall, it’s certainly encouraging to see Daniel Jones assemble another efficient outing. He completed 18 of 25 passes for 228 yards and 0 turnovers.
We’ll keep an eye on Warren’s practice participation. But expect him to rank safely inside TE1 range for next Sunday’s matchup with the Rams.
