The Broncos managed just 153 passing yards in Sunday's loss to the Chargers. That makes it especially impressive that WR Courtland Sutton delivered a strong fantasy line. Sutton delivered 6 receptions for 118 yards and a TD. That obviously led the team in every category. Here's what the market shares looked like:
What They're Saying
HC Sean Payton ahead of Week 3, when asked how to get Sutton more involved: "I think it's important in the third down. I think it's important in the red zone, and then throughout the game plan. Yes, there are a number of things."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Sutton merely had a down Week 2 between two team-leading performances. His 1 catch vs. the Colts followed a nice 6-61-1 receiving line in Week 1. And that came on another limited passing day for the Broncos (176 yards against the Titans).
WR Troy Franklin entered Sunday leading Sutton in targets, catches, and yards but managed only 2 catches for 8 yards against the Chargers.
Although we've gotten those two strong outings from Sutton so far, he would benefit from the team's pass offense improving in general. Denver is averaging just 175 yards per game through three weeks.
Week 4 should present a more favorable matchup in the Bengals. Week 5 holds a Philadelphia defense that has ranked mid-pack against the pass so far.
